Winter is the season in which if “you snooze, you lose” becomes a reality (literally). Time gets slow, the cold makes us all lazy and all we want to do is sleep beside a heater fired and enjoy the season to the fullest.
If you are a university student or a working individual, you do not have the pleasure of enjoying the sleep and laziness this month throws at you. It is like winter season comes with adding sleeping pills in the atmosphere. It makes us all very, very lazy.
1. Coffee To The Rescue
No surprises there – caffeine intake helps in boosting your mood and kicks energy in you. It stimulates your body and makes you active as soon as you have had a cup of it.
2. Start Your Day By Working Out in Winter
Add light exercise to your routine as soon as you wake up. You do not have to go outdoors for a run necessarily – do a light routine indoors and see how active and fresh it will keep you the entire day. This is not only a fit choice to be active in this season, but also a great approach towards a healthy mind and a healthy lifestyle.
3. Drink Loads Of Water
People literally run away from drinking water in winters. In terms of our body, we sweat very less in winters and hence, our thirst becomes less as well. Aside from this, people tend to drink less water in this season because they are very inactive. They tend to enjoy warmer drinks like tea and coffee the most.
Water is very important for our bodies – it is required by the organs and by the cells in order to function properly. If your water intake is not enough, you will become very lethargic and your skin will become dry as well.
Drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water daily!
4. Drink Green Tea Or Lemon Water
Aside from caffeine, which can lead to some drawbacks as well, if you want to consider going something for natural that can add energy to your life, green tea and lemon water are the perfect substitutes. Both the drinks are effective in terms of keeping you hydrated and boosts the mental performance.
5. Splash Cold Water On Your Face
Remember how our teachers in school used to tell us to, “go wash your face!” when we were sleepy in class? Well, it makes sense (scientifically) even in this age. Cold water fuels the fatigued brain and makes you fresh all over again.
Winter season can be made a lot more than just lazy routines when you are following the right track. Follow these tips and you will be fresh as a 1-year-old!
