Dil Maange More; Monthly Salary of Pakistani Cricketers

Cricket is the most widely recognized sport in Pakistan and across. Our gentlemen are ”making” the most out of this profession, literally. 

While Pakistani cricketers’ monthly salaries are no match to what international players receive, considering the state of our team, it’s still a lot.

The PCB salary budget is divided into 4 categories A, B, C and D. Category A being the highest paid group, D being the lowest.

Here is the list of our players divided into these categories and their respective salaries;

1. Category A

Monthly Retainer Fee – (Rs 500,000 per month)

Test Match Fee  – (Rs 400,000 per match)

ODI Match Fee – (Rs 300,000 per match)

Twenty20 Match Fee – (Rs 125,000 per match)

Players: Misbah ul Haq, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali and Younis Khan.

2. Category B

Monthly Retainer Fee – (Rs 345,000 per month)

Match win and individual bonus added.

Players: Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Junaid Khan, Rahat Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah

3. Category C

Monthly Retainer Fee – (Rs 198,000 per month)

Match win and individual bonus added.

Players: Anwar Ali, Fawad Alam, Haris Sohail, Imran Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaan Masood and Umar Akmal

Monthly Retainer Fee – (Rs 100,000 per month)

Players: Babar Azam, Sami Aslam, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Amin, Zulfiqar Babar and Imad Wasim

5. Individual and Team Bonuses

Hundred in Test & Odi Match: Rs. 300,000

Scoring a double hundred in Test or ODI: Rs. 500,000

Taking 5 wickets in innings Test or ODI: Rs 300,000

Taking a 10 wicket haul in Test: Rs. 500,000

250% bonus in match fee if Pakistan beat a top three ranked team or India in Test Series or ODI Series.

400% bonus in match fee if Pakistan wins 50 over or T20 World Cup.
