Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat is very active on social media. Whenever an issue is pointed out by Twitter users living in Islamabad, he always responds to it.
Through his Twitter account, Shafqaat keeps abreast of the steps being taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the city and urges to take precautionary measures against the pandemic of COVID-19 and implementation of SOPs.
On Friday, Bashir Chaudhry, a journalist and a social media activist shared some of the photos of DC Islamabad. In the viral photos, the deputy commissioner was seen without a mask.
However, actively responding to that, Shafqaat has now fined himself for not wearing the mask.
Here’s how the DC Islamabad responded to the viral images on Twitter and said, “…I’ll submit Rs 1000 in Govt Account as a fine and show challah here.”
Shafqaat is quite famous for winning the hearts of the public. Besides, the DC Islamaabd has earlier served in Capital Development Authority (CDA), Establishment Division, and various other cities of the country.
Meanwhile, Shafqaat qualified for Central Superior Services (CSS) exams in 2005. Moreover, the gesture of taking action against himself is quite rare. Indeed, DC is working tooth and nail to serve the nation.
