Can you believe it?
I don’t believe it! The rumor mill that was running for almost a year now has finally paid off. Current UFC Lightweight Champion, Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor is fighting a 49-0 record holder, boxing world’s pride, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.
This is the biggest news in combat sports world and the crossover will bring thousands of new fans to both sports. Since McGregor has zero professional boxing experience, odds are in favor of Mayweather. But critics say that since McGregor is an underdog, he may pull off something no one has ever been able to pull off.
Mcgregor’s last fight as last year in November was against Eddie Alvarez and Floyd’s last fight was with Rocky Marciano and it was declared boring by many fans. McGregor, on the other hand, is a complete hit with digital media with millions of followers and countless fans.
28-year-old McGregor hits like a truck and his agility might create something out of the ordinary in the ring.
The fight is set to take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th and with the amount of money that is coming in, we can’t even think who will buy what with it. McGregor will reportedly earn a staggering $100,000,000.
Twitter broke down after the fight was announced and here are the best responses!

Reasons why McGregor won't beat Floyd.

LOL. Conor referring to Mayweather’s age:
Man, much respect to Floyd Senior still getting a few rounds in at the gym. I hope I can still train at that age.

I know, right? Taking down a boxing legend does sound appealing. We all love Nate Diaz and his love.
