CJP, Yahya Afridi, appointed new staff to his office on Thursday, sources reported. He selected Muhammad Yasin, a senior private secretary, as his Secretary and appointed Muhammad Arif, another senior private secretary, as his Executive Officer.
Sources added that a new Registrar for the Supreme Court will be appointed soon.
He took his oath as Pakistan’s 30th Chief Justice Last week. President Asif Zardari administered the oath at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, and all Supreme Court judges.

Justice Afridi will serve for three years under the recent 26th constitutional amendment. The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and an official announcement of Justice Afridi’s appointment.
