The government has announced to provide relief to the citizens, decreasing petrol and high-speed diesel prices. Furthermore, international prices have decreased. Commencement will follow on the 1st of August.
Petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) will follow a decrease of Rs. 3 and Rs. 8.5. New prices will amount to Rs. 272/liter and Rs. 275/liter.
Price decrease in the international market follows a drop to $87.50/ barrel, for petrol and $94/ barrel for High-Speed diesel. Previous prices stood at

However, the exchange rate remains consistent. Moreover, the government’s target tax amounts to Rs91bn. Meanwhile budget for the year amounts to Rs869bn.
