For the first time in Pakistan, a Chinese liquor company has got a license to manufacture liquor in the country. The Chinese company will reportedly be establishing a manufacturing plant in Pakistan.
Hui Coastal Brewery and Distillery Limited got the license to manufacture liquor. A report by Geo New confirmed the news citing sources.
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered the Chinese company on April 30, 2020. Moreover, it has a Hub, Balochistan address.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan excise, taxation, and anti-narcotics department issued the license. The company is a joint venture with Balochistan at the Lasbela Industrial Estate Development Authority.
Meanwhile, from manufacturing to packaging, the entire process will be carried out at its plant in Lasbela.
Hui Coastal Brewery is known for producing some of the world’s most famous brands. Its plan is to introduce two famous brands in Pakistan for export.
Meanwhile, Murree Brewery is the home of Pakistan’s national lager. Here old copper boilers produce strong fumes. Moreover, they make some 10 million liters of beer each year. It stores hundreds of tons of gin and whisky in climate-conditioned cellars, said an AFP report.
Alcohol is haraam (prohibited) for 97% of the Pakistani population except for non-Muslims. Alcohol and heavy-drinkers actually badly affect and harm their own families.
