The National Institute of Health (NIH) has issued a warning about the spread of Chikungunya across Pakistan. Additionally, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s NIH coordinator has further ratified the spread of the virus.
The coordinator to PM for NIH cited the spread as rooted in Aedes mosquitoes. Furthermore, it was a transmittable virus, resulting in a fever. Concurrently, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Bharat cited Karachi as the epicenter. Moreover, he also pointed out other areas-avenues for the virus.
Meanwhile, the discussed points also highlighted global epicenters. More specifically, Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Adding to the news, precautions were advised.

Simultaneously, Sindh’s Health Minister also cited rising cases in Sindh. Meanwhile, Dr. Azra Pechuho stated that Sindh had noted 140 cases. Additionally, numerous PCR tests conducted have come out positive.
Lastly, she notified Lyari to house the greatest number of cases in Karachi.
