UEFA Champions League finalists are ready to battle for the biggest trophy in a European club and it’s all going to be an English Clash of Titans.
Yes! Last night Chelsea has beaten the Spanish Giant Real Madrid and Thomas Tuchel led the blues to the final stage.
It’s the second year in a row for Thomas Tuchel, last year he secured the final position managing Paris Satin-German and outnumbered by the German club Bayern Munich.
Chelsea Outclassed Real Madrid:
The match began with lots of hope, that Zidane’s warriors might make a huge comeback and outnumber the English host.
But the way Chelsea were playing didn’t seem like they were ready to get outnumbered and overshadowed.
Thomas Tuchel played an amazing line-up against the visitors, although knowing that their almighty Sergio Ramos has come back to defend his territory.
Even Eden Hazard also started from the beginning, the initial start was pretty much okay, but in the 28th minute, Tim Werner got the open goal opportunity that he surely didn’t miss and gave his side an early lead.
By then Real Madrid got aggressive and started attempting shots. Édouard Mendy one of the promising signing for Chelsea didn’t let his team down with some outstanding saves, which surprised most of the critics and fans as well.
Madrid was trying to hold the ball possession as much as they could, but that wasn’t worth it at all.
In the 85th minute, the Champions League dreams shattered for the only Spanish club left in the champions league when Mason Mount scored a goal and gave his side the double strong lead.
No one expected such an outcome from the match, the majority expected that Real Madrid would face Manchester City in the final at Istanbul, but things got changed and especially for Chelsea.
It’s the big thing for Thomas Tuchel, entered in the mid-season when Frank Lampard was sacked and since then he led the team like a true manager.
The outcome is in front of everyone, he became the first-ever coach to led two different teams in the UCL final in two consecutive years.
Thomas Tuchel Talking to Media:
While talking to BT Sports, the Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said, “Or not because it’s not the same club! It d”I’m very happy that we’ve achieved this. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to live my life in football and this passion as a profession.
“So grateful to do it on this level and to get to another final, I’m very grateful for that.” depends who you ask.”
“I’m very happy we’ve achieved this. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to live my life in football and this passion as a profession. So grateful to do it on this level and to get to another final, I’m very grateful for that.”
“They deserve to win, Real Madrid is always dangerous, they can turn nothing into goals. So, to hang in there, even when you have chances and miss them, they never lost concentration, focus, and positive energy on the pitch. This was a huge performance.”
On the other side, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane said, “They deserved the win. We fought and tried but they deserved to win and go through.
“The players who have played were fit to play. I’m proud of my boys: we tried, we have got this far – just one game from the final. Chelsea played a great match and have gone through and we have to say well done to them.
“We needed to be better going forward. We didn’t have any clear chances, they made a number of them and that’s football. Now we rest and think of La Liga.
“Of course we’re not happy. When you lose a semi-final you can’t be happy and that’s normal. It’s tough to take, but tomorrow we’ll be back out on the training pitch ready to go again.”
Now on 30th May 2021, Manchester City will clash against their Premier League rivals Chelsea who already beaten them in the Fa Cup semi-final.
Both managers worked hard to led their team to this stage and reached this stage after a long period. Who will be the most dominant football club in Europe?
