Pakistanis are talking about the lack of ownership and responsibility depicted by celebrities and private entertainment channel HUM TV since yesterday. The HUM TV awards are scheduled on the 28th July in Canada. A number of celebrities were flying to the Toronto yesterday, shedding light on how they neglected their duty to vote in the elections happening today.
These are the same celebrities who have endorsed their respective party and politician. These are the same celebrities who have worked in patriotic shows and films but when it comes to actually playing a part, they blame it on their “work commitment”.
Among the celebrities, the HUM TV officials are also seen flying to Canada. Umer Mukhtar, one of the producers at HUM TV is in the list as well.
While Umer Mukhtar Showcased Ignoring his Civil Duty By Flying to Canada, He Also Did Something Equally Horrible
While putting up Snapchats during his journey, Umer Mukhtar made an extremely insensitive comment on the people waiting at the airport. He recorded the people at the airport and compared them to a scene in a hospital after a bomb blast. He made insensitive remarks such as, “Aik civil hospital mae majood hu. Aur aik bohat baara bomb blast hua hai,” while recording those who were sitting in line in an airport.

The video now cannot be seen on Umer Mukhtar’s Snapchat. The producer STILL hasn’t apologised, nor commenting on his insensitivity.

Pakistanis started questioning her intention of support when she was seen in Canada.
Well, whatever the truth is, it indeed seems like an irresponsibility at the part of many celebrities who fled to Canada while various others, such as the Hocane sister, who remained here.
On the other hand, what’s to expect from the producer of a channel who himself fled from the country instead of choosing to vote?
