Brazil Squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup

With less than two weeks until the start of the competition, preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup are well underway. Brazil, a five-time global champion, has unveiled a formidable 26-man roster as they attempt to capture their first World Cup since 2002.

Neymar Jr., Vinicius Jr., Raphinia, Antony, and Gabriel Jesus are just a few of the attacking firepower that the Seleço Canarinho boasts in its ranks.

Dani Alves, a former Barcelona defender who is still active at the age of 39, was a surprise addition to the roster because head coach Tite thinks Alves’ expertise and winning attitude will be essential for the club in Qatar.

The current Aston Villa midfielder Phillipe Coutinho, a former Liverpool midfielder who missed the World Cup due to injury, was not available for selection. Similar to this, players like Roberto Firmino, Renan Lodi, and Matheus Cunha were excluded from the team because of their patchy recent performances.

Gabriel Magalhes of Arsenal was the team’s significant exclusion, as Tite selected players like Thiago Silva, Eder Militao, and Marquinhos for the centre defence position. Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, two further Arsenal players, were a part of the group.

The English Premier League currently has 12 players out of a total of 26.
