Indian actor Bramha Mishra, best known for his role as Lalit in the Amazon Prime web series Mirzapur, was found dead at his residence on Thursday.
The actor, who was residing in an apartment in Mumbai, was found dead in the bathroom after three days. It was only after his neighbors noticed an unpleasant smell emanating from his apartment, and informed the police, which soon arrived on the scene.
When the police reached the spot, they found the apartment locked from the inside. A locksmith was called to make a duplicate key. After entering the flat, the police found Mishra’s dead body in a semi-decomposed state. He was in a seminude condition.
According to reports, Mishra complained of chest pain on November 29 and was sent home by a doctor after receiving medication. The law enforcement officers suspect that the 36-year-old died due to a cardiac arrest and registered an accidental death report on the statement of the deceased’s brother. Meanwhile, his body has been sent for an autopsy.
The cast of Mirzapur mourned the passing of Mishra and shared some pictures on social media, remembering him.
Condolences pour in for the deceased actor
Ali Fazal, who co-starred with Mishra on the web series, shared an emotional note of condolence and wrote. Attaching a few glimpses of the late actor from Mirzapur, he wrote: “Hearts broken today, yet again. Brahma, take care saath. RIP.”
“RIP Brahma Mishra,” wrote his co-star Divyendu Sharma. “Our Lalit is no more. Let’s pray for him, everyone.”

After the resounding success of Mirzapur 2, the makers and streaming platform have now announced the renewal of the web series for a third season. In the popular series, Mishra played the right-hand man of Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu Sharma. However, Mishra’s character was killed off in the second season’s second episode after a conspiracy by Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi).
Other than starring in the web series Mirzapur, Mishra featured in films such as Kesari, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Hawaizaad, to name a few.
