Bosnia and Herzegovina has canceled the work visas of 39 Pakistani nationals who used their permits to move to other European Union countries illegally. The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs (SFA) in Bosnia announced this crackdown as part of efforts to control the misuse of work visas. The cases of 14 Bangladeshi citizens are still under review.
Authorities have warned that work permits will be revoked if used to migrate irregularly from Bosnia to other EU countries. This happens when Bosnia tries to address labor shortages by opening its doors to workers from countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Employers in Bosnia are urged to ensure that foreign workers enter the country legally, or they could face fines and be responsible for deportation costs.
