The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan went up to 1,625 on Monday after new cases were reported in different parts of the country. With this rapid pace of cases, netizens want Prime Minister Imran Khan to turn his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad into a quarantine center.
With 593 cases, Punjab is leading in the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan. Initially, Sindh had most cases but the provincial government’s proactive measures against COVID-19 helped them in controling the numbers.
Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday also lauded the Sindh government’s measures against the virus crisis. “Some provincial governments have played a dynamic role but some did not; in this regard, Sindh government remained the most proactive,” Chaudhry said. “This is why the Sindh chief minister deserves appreciation and I commend his efforts. I congratulate him on that,” he added.
However, on the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has been receiving a lot of opposition for responding late to the global pandemic. He is now facing a hard time as his government deals with the increasing numbers of coronavirus cases in Punjab.
Twitteraties are now demanding Prime Minister Imran Khan to turn his 400 kanal Bani Gala residence, into a quarantine facility for the coronavirus patients.
Let's demand from PM @ImranKhanPTI to declare #PMHouse or palatial #Banigala as #Quarantine Center to accommodate #corona patients in #Islamabad and suburbs. It would set a rare example to follow- as at one place only he and wife live; another is mostly closed. #CoronaInPakistan.

Hope, soon PMIK @ImranKhanPTI would declare this #Banigala home as a #Quarantine Centre for Islamabad's #Corona patients. There can't be any better and an isolated facility than his 300 Kanals palatial residence which remains mostly locked after his shifting to PM House. pic.twitter.com/jmUk1zmhcg
