Balochistan Experiences Dual Earthquake Events

Two massive earthquakes shook Balochistan this morning, creating perceptible shaking across the region.

The first earthquake occurred at 5:35 a.m., with a magnitude of 5.4 on the seismic scale. It was primarily felt in Quetta and the surrounding areas, as well as along the Pakistan-Afghan border. The epicentre was located about 150 km southwest of Quetta.

Shortly later, at 6:24 a.m., a second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 struck the same area. The subsequent tremor occurred around 120 kilometres southwest of Quetta.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported from either earthquake. The safety and well-being of individuals in the affected areas remain our primary concern.
