Bakhtawar is the daughter of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari. Her wedding will have weeklong functions.
A Dawn report quoted PPP sources as saying that her nikah will be held on January 29. Meanwhile, the function of baraat will take place the next day.
“Before these events, a milad will be organized on January 24 and a mehndi event will take place on 27th,” said a source privy to the details of the ceremonies as per Dawn.
Moreover, a statement issued by Bilawal House said that some 300 guests were expected at the baraat on January 30 with COVID-19 SOPs.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson also confirmed that all functions will be held in Karachi.
Bakhtawar’s fairy-tale engagement
The engagement ceremony of the eldest daughter of Zardari took place at Bilawal House in November 2020. Prominent personalities from across the country participate in Bakhtwar Bhutto Zardari’s engagement ceremony.
According to the sources, up to 15 persons of the family of Mahmood came to attend the ceremony. Some female close friends of Bakhtawar also attended the event.
Both Bakhtawar and her fiancé wore traditional oriental attires on the special occasion. Bakhtawar wore a tea rose Nida Azwer attire. With minimal jewelry and a beautifully crafted Mughal-inspired statement shawl. While complimenting her, Mahmood donned head-to-toe in cream color including a Kashmiri shawl.
