International Cricket Council (ICC) has dropped Pakistan’s former Skipper Babar Azam from the top 10 Test Batsmen after 5 years. Moreover, the news didn’t surprise his fans since Babar has been out-of-form from quite a long time.
Currently, the ace batter stands at number 12 position. Previously, Babar made it to top 10 for the first time in December 2019. This was following his ton against Sri Lanka. However, Babar faced many ups and downs throughout his tenure in the top tier of ICC batters.
He ranked at the edge-10 position, twice, after scoring accumulated 2-runs against Zimbabwe. On the other hand, his first against Bangladesh last month added to his tenure at the 10th position.
However, his highest point came as the 2nd in the ICC ranking. Furthermore, this was marked by his performance against England in a home series, in 2022. Though, Pakistan lost to England; a whitewashed series.

Babar Azam hasn’t been able to cross the 50 run mark since 2022. His last great knock came against New Zealand. Moreover, his innings against the Kiwis were marked by a ferocious 161 in December of the year.
In contrast, Babar hasn’t been able to cross the 40 run mark since a long time. This was followed by his boxing-day Test match against Aussie last year.
