Ayesha Toor, a well-known actress and host, recently shared her views on differences between men in Karachi and Punjab. Speaking on the FHM podcast, she discussed her experiences traveling through Pakistan and how she sees cultural differences in different regions.
Ayesha explained that while it’s common for men to stare at women in public, things feel different in Karachi. She said that in Karachi, men may look at you once but then go back to minding their own business. However, she feels this isn’t the case in Punjab. According to her, in Punjab, staring starts as soon as you arrive at the airport and continues wherever you go.

Ayesha also pointed out that although Punjab is more developed in terms of infrastructure, wealth, and opportunities, she finds Karachi to be more progressive in terms of respect for women. In her view, Punjab’s society feels more controlled by patriarchy compared to Karachi.
