Yahoo! First Pakistani Artist Arooj Aftab Steps In For The Best New Artist At Grammys 2022

Arooj Aftab Pakistan’s brightest musician has made it to the Grammys one of the biggest musical award nights in America.

A few hours ago, Grammy announced their 2022 nominations and there you see this young talented musician’s name Arooj Aftab’s name.

She’s nominated in the category of Best New Artist, alongside Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid Loroi, and Glass Animals.  Not only that she has also been nominated for the Best Global Performance award.

By this nomination, Arooj Aftab has become the first Pakistani to be nominated for Best New Artist for the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Soon the nominations were announced, Pakistani celebrities tweeted and congratulated her for this big achievement.

Arooj Aftab has made the nation proud, actor Osman Khalid Butt tweeting, “What fantastic news. Congratulations, Proof Aftab!”

Singer Fakhr-e-Alam also took to Twitter to share a message full of pride, writing, “Big Congrats, Arooj Aftab, for becoming the first-ever Pakistani to be nominated for Best New Artist for the 2022 Grammy Awards. This is truly incredible news.”

Even Meesha Shafi also congratulated her. International magazines and Billboard also featured Arooj Aftab as a new member in the Grammys nominations.

She also even released her third album “Vulture Prince” as well. Her musical test spread throughout the world and grabbed high-profile attention. In July Barack Obama former President of the United States of America gave a shout-out to her by stating her song “Mohabbat” as one of the favorite tracks on his official summer 2021 playlist.

Hope no one gets robbed like the year when Grammys got into Scammys which created huge negativity among fans.
