Last night Grammy awards announced the nominations and great surprising nominees fans got to see. Among all the nominees, there’s one girl who grabbed the internet’s attention once again and she’s none other than Arooj Aftab.
Just like last year she did it again and bagged herself another Grammy nomination for the second time in a row which even made Pakistani celebrities congratulate her.
On Wednesday, she shared a New York Times article that wrote the whole piece about Grammy nominations and she proudly shared hers with the fans.

The artist took to Instagram to make the announcement by sharing a New York Times listicle highlighting all Grammy nominations for the year 2023. Overjoyed, the Mohabbat crooner wrote in the caption, “Oh my, oh my, oh my!”
She also shared a video message followed by the previous post, she expressed her happiness and flew all over the moon with endless joy.
“Oh my God! Udhero Na has been nominated for a Grammy. Congratulations to me and to Anoushka Shankar, Maeve Gilchrist, and Nadje Noordhuis.” She recalled how four “badass women” came together to play a song that she wrote when she was merely 15 and it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves.

Arooj said, “So, I’m very emotional and very glad and I’m really, really, just, I don’t even know. I’m in this hall of a ship, we’re about to perform in about 20 minutes or so. I don’t know how I’m going to do that but this is great. So, thank you,” she concluded.
Aftab captioned this post, “Congratulations to me! [Laughs] Yes, congratulations to you and Anoushka Shankar.”
Even Sarwat Gilani, Ushna Shah, and other celebrities congratulated her in the comment section. Last month Arooj Aftab submitted her song “Udhero Na” to the Grammys.
Along with her, the coming year’s Grammy might get super pumped up with the crazy nominations and competition.
