Undoubtedly, social media is a great source of interaction with people who directly connect public figures to commoners. However, social media influencers use the channel at its best to make a change. With a single tweet or comment, they’re able to make a difference.
Just recently, an American model raised $700,000 by sending her unclad to the donors in regard to collecting donations for bushfires victims. The horrible Australian bushfires has damaged nearly 9.9 million-acre of land and about 1400 homes so far. So many people have become homeless and it is indeed a huge loss of lives.
Things Beyond Belief!
As the pictures and videos of tragedy go viral, public figures have taken the help of social media to raise awareness and have appealed for donations. However, an American model named “Kaylen Ward” thinks differently to help out the people by sending her unclad photographs to those who donate and the results were unbelievable!
Ward collected $700,000 in just three days!

In an interview with a renowned publication, she said that more than 50,000 folks approached her to avail the offer she posted on 3rd January under the Twitter handle “The Naked Philanthropist.”
“I’m sending nudes to every person who donates at least $10 to anyone of these fundraisers for the wildfires in Australia,”. The model said in a tweet.

However, on a safe side, Ward demanded that her followers are required to send their receipt to her that they donated at least 10$ to a designated charity. Such as the Australia Red Cross and the Australian Lions Foundation. She said, if the proof appeared to be factual, she would send one picture for every $10 donated.
How It All Happened
The model stated, “I was seeing all the posts on Twitter about the Australian fires and I was really concerned there wasn’t a lot of media coverage and not a lot of people donating,”
The team of 4 people helped her in verifying Tweets, DMs and donations. Meanwhile, Instagram deactivated Ward’s account for violating its sexually suggestive content guidelines.

The action taken wasn’t clear about which content violated Instagram’s guidelines. Even though her own account has been taken down, Instagram hasn’t banned the fakes.
Ward’s parents have disowned her after what she did…
She tweeted to show her disappointment and also shared that she has been disowned by her parents for her actions.

She believes that by this act she can help the victims of American wildfires. Although sending such pictures for charity purpose is not a good move as it encourages the culture to promote vulgarity in the name of charity. These minds need to understand that there are more elegant ways by which a good amount of funds can be collected.
