At the opening ceremony of the Asia Cup 2023, which will take place in Multan on Wednesday, renowned singers Aima Baig and Trishala Gurung will be performing.

At the Multan Cricket Stadium, the curtain raiser will take place before the first match of the tournament, which will be played between the tournament hosts, Pakistan, and Nepal.
Between the 30th of August and the 17th of September in 2023, the Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Because the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided not to send their team to Pakistan owing to safety concerns, none of the matches for the Asia Cup will take place in Pakistan.
The three teams that makeup Group A are Pakistan, Nepal, and India. In the meanwhile, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka are all members of Group B.
Pakistan will host four of the matches, while Sri Lanka will play host to nine of them, including the championship match.
Since 2016, the Asia Cup has alternated between the Twenty20 and One-Day International formats. In order to assist the teams in their preparation for the World Cup that will take place in India later this year, the 2023 edition will be contested in the 50-over format.
India is the current holder of the title for the 50-over Asia Cup, which was most recently competed in 2018.
