Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui has apologized to fans of late Bollywood actors Sridevi and Irrfan Khan after host Aamir Liaquat’s insensitive comment.

Irrfan Khan’s demise was extremely gutting for people around the world. Everyone felt as though they had lost a loved one, precisely due to his aura and because of the roles he played onscreen. Siddiqui also worked with him in a Hollywood film and was equally disturbed with the news of his death.

However, recently, while attending a Ramadan show hosted by Aamir Liaquat, the host made some insensitive comments on his death. Siddiqui didn’t find the joke in good taste and was also seen uncomfortable during the conversation.

The actor has now said sorry to the fans and family of the Bollywood stars in a long Instagram post.

“The host Aamir Liaquat joked about something extremely sensitive. Not only were they both close to me but also as a human, it was wrong on so many levels. It was an extremely callous act to joke about the deceased. This is in very bad taste, and not only show him and me but also the entire country in a bad light. I want to apologize to the families and loved ones of Sridevi Sahiba and Irrfan Khan Sahab,” he wrote.

Here comes Aamir Liaquat’s apology

The insensitive comments that everyone is talking about were not expected from a sitting member of the National Assembly, who claims to be a religious scholar. During the conversation, Liaquat was taking about Siddiqui’s work with Bollywood actors. He insensitively tried to assert that with whoever Adnan Siddiqui works in the Bollywood, he or she dies.

“You worked in Mom and Sridevi died, you worked with Irrfan Khan as well and he passed away,” Liaquat told Adnan during his Ramadan show on Express TV.

“You were offered roles in Mardaani 2 and Jism 2 but you declined, so the actors of that movie (Rani Mukherjee and Bipasha Basu) owe their life to you,” he continued.

Liaquat has soon realized his mistake and also apologized for making an impromptu comment during a live-show. He said, “I didn’t realize at that very moment. However, later I realized that I have made a mistake.”
Liaquat said he would also apologize on his show again in today’s transmission.

The video clip from the particular show is now circulating on social media. People feel that joking about anyone’s death is not funny at all.

But, Liaquat is famous for putting his guests and the audience in awkward situations during his shows, may it be a Ramadan show. This is not the first time that his comment has offended people. On several occasions, Liaquat with his acts of trying to be funny he hurts the feeling of many of his fans.
