Laylatul Qadr is the Night of Power as described in Surah Al –Qadr because it is “better than a thousand months” (Quran, 97:3). This means any good deed done on this night will earn you the reward of having done that deed for 83 years.
1. Do An Act Of Charity So That If It Falls On Laylatul Qadr, It Is Equal To The Reward Of Having Done Charity For 83 Years
2. Pray 2 Units Every Day So That If It Falls On Laylatul Qadr, It Is Equal To The Reward Of Having Prayed For 83 Years
The Prophet (P.B.U.H) has been reported by Bukhari and Muslim (recorded by Abu Huraira) as having said, “Whoever prays during the night of Qadr with faith and hoping for its reward, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.”
3. Recite Surah Ikhlaas Because If The Recitation Falls On Laylatul Qadr, It Will Be Equal To The Reward Of Having Read The Quran That Many Times
“Whoever recited Surah al Ikhlas would get a reward as if reading one-third of the Quran.” (Tirmidhi)
4. Strive to Gain Forgiveness on the Night of Decree
Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting rewards from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).
If one misses this blessed night it is as if he has missed a lot. Therefore every Muslim should practice the mentioned deeds to earn extra rewards for 83 years!
