Hamza faced inquiry in cases of money laundering, Punjab Saaf Pani Company and Ramzan Sugar Mills including about his current assets that cannot be acquired within his means.
He was arrested right after his petition for extension in bail was rejected by Lahore High Court (LHC). A large number of PML-N workers stood outside the court in support of their party’s leader and chanted slogans after Hamza was taken into custody.
