Indian drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame actor Karan Mehra was arrested after his wife, actress Nisha Rawal, filed a complaint against him in a police station following a brawl. Nisha has made some shocking revelations.
While addressing the media, Nisha claimed that Karan was having an extramarital affair and also accused him of domestic violence.
Speaking about Mehra and her relationship, Nisha said, “It is extremely embarrassing to meet you all like this since we have always met on the red carpet events. I am here only because of Kavish (their son). We have been together for 14 years. Many things happened in these years but no one came to know about anything.”
‘Karan Mehra admits having an affair’
“Karan has been having an affair with another girl, which I didn’t know about. When I came to know about it, he accepted that he has another girl in his life. I asked if he has physical relation, if it’s a serious affair or an emotional one. He said ‘I love that girl. I have been having physical affair with her.’ ”
Nisha revealed the girl is from Delhi and the affair started when Karan started staying away from his family and shooting in Chandigarh for his TV show. This was shocking news for Nisha.

‘I tried to keep his image intact
Nisha said after knowing that Karan was having an affair, she did not react violently.
“I told him to sit down and talk. Then the next day I went to my parents-in-law. I told them everything. They asked us to work on it. I told them if Karan says sorry and wants to work on the relationship, then I will try. But after all this, he didn’t make any effort while I tried a lot. Seeing Karan’s behavior over the years, in the last 14 years, this is not new.”
“I tried to keep his image intact because we are actors and doing all this can affect our careers. We also have a child. Every time Karan used to apologize, I used to say okay. I actually wanted to believe him. But then I had to speak up as domestic abuse is not okay.”
Karan claims Nisha ‘banged her head against a door’
Meanwhile, in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday, Karan said he was being framed by Nisha and her brother, Rohit Sethiya. He also said that he was assaulted by Rohit. According to him, Nisha banged her head against a door.
There were reports that Karan and Nisha were facing trouble in their marriage for a few months. They have a four-year-old son Kavish.
Although many Indians are obsessed with Pakistani dramas, Karan rose to fame for his lead role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and became a household name in India and Pakistan. He played the role of a perfect husband onscreen. Sadly, it looks like the reality is just the opposite and ugly. Meanwhile, Nisha is also an actor. Recently, Pakistani actor Komal Rizvi also spilled the beans on her abusive husband.
