Pakistan’s drama industry has increasingly become far more superior to India’s drama industry in just a few years’ time. With story lines having life morals and limited episodes, most dramas airing right now are attracting a lot of audience throughout the country. Actors, dawning a unique character in each of their dramas have gained a significant amount of respect and charisma for their country from all over the world. In fact, Bollywood stars have also praised the quality of Pakistani dramas. Consequently, some of our Pakistani singers became actors, perhaps to challenge themselves.
Here are some of our singers who stepped into dramas and acting:
1) Ali Zafar

A widely successful singer, Ali Zafar started off as a painter, model, and singer. His first album ‘Huqqa Paani’ was released in 2003, and he did not look back since then. He debuted in Bollywood in 2010 in Tere Bin Laden, and also starred alongside Katrina Kaif in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
2) Fawad Khan

A heartthrob and a symbol of charm in Pakistani cinemas and drama series, Fawad Khan is the most prominent figure to step into acting recently. He left behind his famous band Entity Paradigm (EP), end eventually took a lead role in Humsafar and Dastaan. After the band broke down in 2007, he also starred in Khuda Ke Liye.
3) Ahmad Ali Butt

Ahmad Ali Butt was a member of EP and worked closely with Fawad Khan. A rapper and a pianist, he was quite skilled with merging rock, keyboard, and rap together in one song. A grandson of Noor Jahan, Ahmad Ali Butt stepped into dramas after EP disbanded. He worked with Indus Vision, PTV Home, Hum TV and ARY Digital.
4) Komal Rizvi
Komal Rizvi was once a VJ on a local television channel and became the first female VJ to land into Indian limelight. She was only a teenager when she started singing and eventually led herself to Coke Studio. She worked with Hum TV to create Teesra Peher, Lehrein, and Samandar Hai Darmiyan.
5) Farhan Saeed

Farhan Saeed was a former member of a renowned Pakistani band Jal. He used to work alongside Atif Aslam and created masterpieces such as Aadat and Boondh. Now he has taken on a new challenge by starring in Udaari, Mere Ajnabi, De Ijazat Jo Tu, and a few more drama serials.
6) Junaid Khan

Junaid Khan is a model, and a composer originally. Starting as a lead vocalist in Call, he went on to starring in Hum TV’s Kabhy na Kabhy
7) Amanat Ali

Amanat Ali started off with singing when he was only six years old. Although he received much fame as a singer by doing numerous projects, he took towards drama serials by debuting in Hum Parindey in 2012.
These are only a few people that we have on our list. There are several RJs and VJs as well who made it to drama including Mahira Khan, Sanam Jung, and a lot more!
