40,000 Metric Tonnes of Sugar To Be Exported To Tajikistan, SAB

Sugar Advisory Board (SAB) of Pakistan, approved export of 40,000 metric tonnes of sugar to Tajikistan. The meeting was headed by Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Industries and Production.

Moreover, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer directed the SAB to export 40,000 matric tinnes of sugar to Tajikistan. Furthermore, Trade Corporation of Pakistan is to make arrangement. Meanwhile, approval is sought from the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee.

Moreover, the sugar reserves stands at 2.852 metric tonnes. SAB statement reads,“The available stock is sufficient to meet local demand of sugar. Pakistan Sugar Mills Association was of the view that there is a 1.5 Million MT surplus stock of sugar available in the country which should be exported to support Sugar Industry to earn revenue to meet financial obligations of growers,”
