I hope this gets far and wide and touches the eyes, hearts and minds of millions. 2016 has been a constant reminder that you never know what could go wrong. You never know when you might get shot, die in a plane crash or get run over by a bus. Because that’s how short life actually is.
So always, always, always be horribly and beautifully straightforward. Send that reckless text you’ve been thinking about for so long if you think that someone makes you feel alive, tell someone you love their smile. Let your parents/brother/best friend know that you really really miss them. We end the deepest of relationships over the pettiest quarrels not knowing we may never see them again. Tell everyone they are absolutely magical human beings and that you just cannot believe they exist. Light up someone’s life today, just do it.
Be desperate to love. There is nothing more beautiful than being desperate to make the world a better place. And there is also nothing riskier than pretending not to care. We’re all young and wild, we don’t decide when our times up… He does. Call me crazy or weird, but I imagine the world, where we all smile, where there’s no such thing as hate. Yeah nuts, I know right? Things were created to be used and people to be loved, the reason why this fucking world is going to shit is because people are being used, and things are being loved.
“Your remedy is within you, but you do not sense it. Your sickness is from you, but you do not perceive it. You presume you’re a small entity, but within you is enfolded the entire universe. You are indeed the evident book, by whose alphabet the hidden becomes manifest. Therefore, you have no need to look beyond yourself. What you seek is within you, if only you reflect” – Hazrat Ali (RA)
To quote Benjamin Franklin,
“Most men die at 25, we just don’t bury them until they’re 70“.
You might NEVER know when you end up making a difference, you might NEVER know when you’re the cause of life-changing enthralling magic in someone’s life and you will most definitely NEVER EVER know when that bus is coming.
