Severe Weather Toll 17 Lives Lost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Severe weather wreaks havoc in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming 17 lives and leaving 23 injured as heavy rains lead to roof collapses in different areas. Tragic incidents include a couple and a child in Lower Dir, a mother and daughter in Batkhela, Malakand, and three children in Bajaur, among others. Rescue teams respond swiftly to the affected regions, transporting the injured and deceased to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Meanwhile, upper areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir witness life coming to a standstill due to heavy snowfall, causing landslides that block communication roads in Muzaffarabad, Mansehra Road, and Pir Chinasi. Snowfall-induced road closures persist across various parts, including the closure of the Lowari Tunnel and the national highway in Chaman. Efforts to rescue stranded visitors in snow-covered locations are ongoing, with the Meteorological Department warning of more rain and precipitation in the coming days.
