Recently, Djuice Pakistan launched their first online digital movie “Oye Kuch Kar Guzar.”
To be honest, I wasn’t really excited about this movie. But when I watched the trailer, it really got me excited. Starring Ali Safina, Uzair Jaswal, Nayyar Ejaz, Mahajabeen Habib, Ushna Shah and none other than the most watched internet celebrity Taher Shah as a guest appearance, the movie is a whirlwind of romance, comedy, adventure, and suspense- all of these elements blended into a single piece!
The movie is about the unique experience of a boy and how he dreams of becoming a rockstar. These ambitions take him to a road where the most unforgettable journey of his life begins. The newest feature of this movie is that it’s different from the traditional movies, the watcher gets to choose how they want the story of the movie to be continued, so at the end of every episode, they get two options.

The Story
The plot of the movie? Honestly speaking, it’s quite simple. A bunch of young boys and girls go out to pursue their own ambitions and dreams, trying to find out what they really want to do.
Ali Safina (Sherry) is the main character of the movie. He is the son of a mechanic but his goals are different from that of his father. He wants to be a singer and one day, to prove to his father that he can become rich and famous, he makes a deal with him to let him go to Karachi and pursue his dreams, but if he fails, he will come back and work as a mechanic in his Abba Jan’s auto shop all his life. So he sets out on a journey to Karachi from Lahore with his friend Jango (Uzair Jaswal).
So both of them are off to Karachi to try their luck, and as the journey begins, they get to meet the other characters of this movie and get into all sorts of different but hilarious situations, which at times need smart moves to get out of!

Those of you who have read the book series “Choose Your Adventure” will be familiar with the Oye Kuch Kar Guzar and how it works. The good thing is that in this movie, you get to select which reaction you want- the comedic one or the dramatic one. So as you advance in the movie, you, being the watcher, gets to keep making the choices. Interesting, right?

Honestly, I feel djuice Pakistan has done an amazing work here; they collaborated with YouTube so there was no need to wait for the movie to hit the cinemas. It was instantly available to be watched online. The story’s conclusion is not final like I said you can alter the outcome. So let’s not spoil the fun for you. I will conclude the review now giving it a 9/10 rating as it’s totally worth watching being Pakistan’s first ever online movie!
